An estimated one million people will be on the streets of Ireland in two weeks time, as the Government moves to begin preparations for the general election.
What to expect:There are three major events to watch this week:On Tuesday, the Taoiseach will meet Taoiseigh Enda Kenny to finalise the terms of a deal to provide the Government with more funding for the social care sector.
On Thursday, the Government will make its decision on whether to run an election, and on Friday it will announce the result.
This weekend, a new election will be held in the coming weeks to determine the outcome of the new Government.
