Australian Financial Reviews article Linux find file is a handy utility that can be used to locate files on a computer.
It can open any file you type into the terminal, and will then show you the exact location.
If you have Python installed, the command can be run like this: python findfile.py –path = /path/to/file.txt If you’re using Windows or Mac OS X, you can also type the command like this to open the file, using the same path: python locatefile.exe –path=/path/ to/file -t urllib.io.file This will open the urllibrio.io file, but you can then move it to another folder and save the file somewhere else.
FindFile is free and open source, and is available on Github.
You can find more information about it at the website, and check out the source code for it here.
